I have a couple of lazy injectors and I am planning on replacing all 8. My plan is just a set of stock remains I don't want to get into tuning and I don't need more power for what I'm doing. what brand would you recommend?
Rosewood diesel would be my first choice.
might even jump into 160/0 as you can run stock tuning with out problems and were a factory option on the DT444 engines on the International trucks. And you know they will be there in the future if you ever decide you want a little more power.
Honestly if you are just doing stock remans, any of the injector guys would be fine. Just go with whomever has the best pricing.
are these the original injectors? how many miles on them. I know both CNC and Rosewood have various services. I had a set of alliant injectors I believe, unknown history. I sent them to CNC to be tested and there were only a couple things that were needed. Ended up being cheaper than a full remanned set. Might be worth a call to both and see what they recommend to do....unless it's obvious.
Agree with the Rope. I would tend to buy new injectors without concern from a reputable dealer, but remans, those need to be flow tested to verify operability. Jim is the one I would trust. No shade on CNCFab but I haven’t used theirs before
thanks for all the info, its gotten the time of year im using the truck regularly so im gonna do my research and do the injectors in the fall/ winter. I did service the truck and went to 10w40 rotella t6 and added archoil and ii seems to be helping for now at least
