Starter hesitation

14 6.7 F250

i could use some help. I’m experiencing this hesitation when starting and I’ve linked a YouTube video. I’ve found countless articles about a weak start, but haven’t found anyone with a similar issue that I could learn from.

it’s inconsistent, but almost guaranteed if the truck sits for a few hours.

Two years. Shop says they test fine. They seem to be thinking a loose ground could be causing the increased amperage at the starter (found this during testing).

I'm thinking bad ground somewhere. This year I'm going to do a big 3 upgrade, plus upgrade kit for passenger side as well, that adds an additional block ground from the alternator and an additional frame ground to the driver's side. The passenger kit adds a 2 AWG cable for the fender ground.

I'm going to do thread on it when complete this year... but that's what I would do, check your grounds and maybe add a few cheaper cables for grounds. Sure wouldn't hurt...

Keep it simple to start... check all grounds, clean corrosion, tighten down and go from there.

I added a ground battery cable from my drivers side battery neg to my passenger side battery neg.
