I have a 2018 6.7 F250 with 66,000 miles. Maybe 3 times in the last few months I have went out to start the truck and it sounds like the starter is spinning. I go to crank it again and it immediately starts up. I see some things online about a bendix being the issue? Is it the starter? Should I just replace the starter? Thanks for feedback...
Water in boots could be shoring out some start voltage
corrosion in connecting lines
worn batteries
rarely it’s the starter clutch
but…if you have a corrosion issue and have the starter replaced…removing the old good starter breaks the corrosion and when you finish the stall job all is well. Plus now you have a perfectly good starter to use as a paper weight.

I replaced the batteries just over a year ago. I will check for any corrosion or water anywhere in the connections. Thank you.
