Damn I should have pulled the trigger on a head unit a month ago. The price of the head unit is pretty good but went to check out and the shipping is $70! @Tpayne621 did you have to pay a lot for shipping also?
Yes I did as well. I just went back and looked and shipping in 2023 was 98 Australian dollars whatever the converts to our money. They come from Australia.
Believe I paid around $450us for mine to my door. But I got the bigger version with the screen upgrade as well.

10-4, well now I don't feel so bad LOL. Thinking about just ordering two of them to put one in my work truck since the shipping is the same price if you get one or two head units. just not sure if I need the trim package for my work truck since it still has the factory stereo
Probably going to have to get custom with the mounting on both. I had to with mine. But wasn't nothing hard. Mine were bolted to the dash bezel itself. So they come off with the dash/radio bezel.

Okay thanks for the heads up. Did you use a adapter harness for the wiring like sous had posted earlier? I see teyes offers a harness for Ford but it's for a Ford focus so I doubt that would work

I did yes. You wire the one that comes with the radio to the adapter harness that has the plug to match your dash wiring. It's mainly just the powers ground and then speaker wires. Then there will be bunch of extra wires and connectors on back of the radio for other things depending what all you hook up to it.

Okay cool I will order the adapter that sous posted earlier. I guess I'm just going to go ahead and get 2 head units to avoid paying double shipping and hope they work out. Was reading the reviews and it seems like some people absolutely loved the unit and some people had a lot of problems but it seems like that is with everything these days
I've been pleased with mine. No issues and everything works as it should. Would definitely buy another one. I had a couple different cheap Amazon ones before I spent the money on a teyes and the teyes and leaps and bounds better.

Awesome I'm definitely looking forward to having a decent head unit 🤘🤘
Hey guys sorry for the ignorant question but I'm trying to install my new teyes head unit and wasn't sure if I need to install the 4G antenna and the GPS antenna? I can't seem to find anything in the instruction manual but I was under the impression that I would just be mirroring off of my phone. If I do need to install them what is the best location that you guys typically Mount these?
GPS antenna yes, 4G no unless you are going to pay for cell service. You can mount them under the dash toward the windshield. If I recall correctly, I put some double sided tape on my GPS antenna and set it on top of the HVAC vent in the center under the dashboard plastic.

Just wanted to thank all of you guys for all of your help and advice on getting this head unit installed. I greatly appreciate it! Also want to thank @Tpayne621 for the teyes head unit recommendation, this unit is far better than I imagined it would be. This thing is basically a computer for your truck, it's unbelievable all the stuff that you can do on it, very happy with it. One thing I am having trouble with is downloading forscan, I'm pretty sure there is a way to import it off of my phone as I have done other apps this way but can't seem to figure out how to do it. Also try downloading it's straight from forscans website in both the Google Play edition and the independent edition and Google Chrome tells me that I'm not allowed to download it as it may harm my device. Was really hoping to import it from my phone that way I don't have to go through and pick all of the parameters again but not sure if that's possible. If any of you know a way to do this that would be great. Thanks again!

I have an android unit in a non-Ford vehicle and what I do is hotspot my iPhone's wifi and then connect the radio to that network. I haven't figured out how to enable bluetooth at the same time because as soon as the radio connects to the phone, the wifi drops. So for now what I'm doing is turn off the bluetooth on my phone and use it's wifi connection alone. And I'm of the same opinion, it's a touch screen computer. I mounted the GPS reciever up on top of the dash along with the 4G antenna and the bluetooth microphone. They are small enough to not intrude and I wanted as good of a reception that I could get.
This is what I bought if anyone is curious. https://a.co/d/bXhEO89
