It would start after several long cranks and within 5-10 minutes it would shut off instantly. Then wait about a hour and could do it again. Then changed ICP and ipr and nothing, no start.
IMO, the first thing at this point would be to do the air test with the valve covers off. That would be to make sure you don't have a leak at the oil rails.
Then remove the HPOP cover and take a look at it, see if the BB is still in it. Post pics.
I'm back! Took me awhile but finally got into that damn truck again . I put air into the top of the hpop itself and air was coming out of the hole under the screen trap oil cooler . So not sure if that means anything or not. Maybe more testing???

I believe that normally means the ball check fell out (Bismic was talking about above). I believe the solution is to replace the pump but not sure. The stock 03/04 pumps aren't known for longevity. Most upgrade to the better pumps (can't remember the mfg's, but a search here will show you).

I believe you can physically see the ball has come out when you remove the pump. A quick search of the forum you should be able to find the info you need.
The BB is on the suction side (low pressure). It is common for internal HPOP problems to cause the BB to blow out.
Air leaking through the HPOP and back into the low pressure oil system can be seen by air being present in the oil filter housing, and from the suction reservoir under the oil cooler (also from the turbo oil line).
Tomorrow I will test air again on top hpop and video the air blowing out the oil in the area under the screen and also show the ball. Then try to bench test the hpop out of the truck. I'm trying to make sure it's the hpop that the problem. Even if I go ahead and change the hpop doesn't mean it will run if that's no the problem. I don't want to just throw parts at it and keep putting it together and taking it apart. I hope I can find the exact problem.
