Intake manifold question

Intake manifold question

I have recently acquired a 74 F100 with the Y code 360 2 barrel carb. I would like to put a 4 barrel on it and know I have to change the intake manifold.
New ones are pretty pricey and I'm on a budget, but I came across a junked 65 Galaxy 500 with a 352 with a 4 barrel carb.
Will this intake work on my 360?

Yes. 80+ pounds so watch your back.

However, don't expect miracles, and be prepared to do some tuning and adjusting.

If you plan no other changes, rebuilding the 2bbl will serve you better.

How's that 352 running?
I'd take a 352 over a 360 any day.

I'm not real sharp on 360s, I recall my boss with the mail trucks told me they were truck engines with heavy 4 ring pistons (he hated 360s, but he loved his 390s). I don't know that to be true, but if so, they will likely run a long time but would not be high revers. Unless I knew otherwise, I would just keep the iron intake and put a good 2 barrel Holley on it maybe.

360 is a 3 ring light duty engine.

361 in medium trucks has the 4 ring piston.

Maybe he got them mixed, I never heard of a 361 back then either.
