Stock Intake & New 4bbl Carb

Stock Intake & New 4bbl Carb
Hey, all. It's been a while. The trucks been put up for the winter but as spring approaches it's time to gear up for the season.
Question: I want to replace the carb, currently a 2bbl on a 360 with [what is presumably] a stock intake manifold. I want to install a 4bbl, say with a 770cfm Avenger or the like. Before I start dismantling I'm wondering if someone can tell me if all stock 360 intake manifolds are set up for 4bbl carbs or do I need to replace the intake manifold.
Thank for the input.

Maybe a stupid question, but both the truck and Ford are new to me.

I don't know how else to ask. The truck is at another house and I was hoping to order a carb for the weekend.

Thanks, so back to the original question because I'm not being clear: Does a stock Ford 360 2bbl engine have a 4bbl-sized intake manifold inlet on top or a 2bbl-sized inlet. The Chevy had a 4bbl-sized manifold inlet under their 2bbl carb. I do understand a 2bbl inlet will not fit a 4bbl carb.

I would advise you to leave the 2 barrel on the truck. You will dump more gas in with a larger carb, and more out the tailpipe. Rebuild the engine and that could change. Dual exhaust will give you the most return for your buck, on the ol truck. IMHO

If you're not concerned with going fast, I would stick with the two barrel. If you want to wake up the old 360 and get some more power, you might want to consider the Edelbrock Performer intake and matching carb, cam, and lifters. However as Jowilker said, just a good freeflowing dual exhaust with the stock intake and carb will probably offer you the best hp return for dollar invested......
