Electrical Issues
Greetings all! Long time stalker, first time poster.
I had purchased a 2000 excursion half a year ago in hopes of fixing it and using it for work, (bought it for cheap as these trucks go) and have gotten it running ok. However, I noticed that the turn signals and brake lights weren't working at all. Upon going to investigate why, I stumbled across the rat's nest of wires, from where the previous owner installed and removed stuff from the truck's wiring harness. I was wondering if anyone had some sort of diagram for the wiring under the dash, so I can start un*****ing the mess that was left behind in the wake of my impulsive purchase.
Any tips/advice is strongly appreciated, since I am still new to this palatiform and all her quirks. Other than that, you folks have a good one!

I highly recommend buying an EVTM (paper service manual) for your EX. You can usually find them on eBay for a reasonable price.

I was able to buy Digital Manuals for my 2002, that year has a lot of changes from previous years, so no good to you.
but look online for manuals, they are easy to find.

Ok, thank you gents. Like I stated, I am fairly new to this platform and assumed that there was a general wire diagram. (Coming from JDM cars) I appreciate the advice, I'll do some in depth looking through the resources provided. If anything pops to mind, I am all ears. Once again, thank you!
