Cab corner drains

I ended up making my own rear cab corner bottoms - I like bending metal. Ready to weld them in but are there any drain holes the factory put in the bottom of those? My originals were totally gone and I can’t tell from online pictures.

I dont think so but it is not a bad idea if you expect to spray out your cab

I had small drainage holes, they plug up easily. If you know they are there you can check them occasionally. Merry Christmas

My 57 was filled with Texas clay. I’ll probably be a lot more careful but it will get in the mud and snow once in a while. I’m thinking one or two drain holes where the spray won’t hit them.

There was an small area where the inner and outer cab corners were not welded together. The ridge on one panel bulged away from the other in that area creating a small drain. I suppose you could duplicate it by leaving 3/4" - 1" unwelded and push a screwdriver in the opening to spread it, perhaps with a little heat.

Been a long time since I have posted but my 59 had valleys if you will in the inner cab corner for drainage. When I fabricated mine I used to pieces of metal I tacked to the welding bench then used a piece of iron about 3/4” wide and beat the valet into the inner cab corner

Going by what I found in the cab corners of my truck when I got it, those drains should be big enough for things like hand tools and other items that make their way into the dark recesses of never to be seen again. LOL
