1973 cab overhaul

Here are some pictures of the drain area that I made for an F100.
LMC or NPD should sell these pieces, it would save alot of time!

I looked for a donor but most were worse than mine. The 37 years of pine needles stored in there with a touch of water eats the metal. Working on the cab is proving to be very time consuming. It doesn't help having the rolling chasis sitting there all done, it makes me want to cut corners!

Go ahead and make a production run of 10-20 of those while you're doing it, sell them here! Really though, that looks like top notch fabrication there, nice work.

In no way do I want to hyjack the thread or do anything to distract from the beautiful work the OP has shown us. But, I used sheet metal from a wrecked BMW hood and shaped the ones I made. I mounted mine with sheet metal screw, sealed with seam sealer and painted. I really don't think anyone can tell they've been fabbed. Again, no way do I wish to distract from the beautiful work of the OP. Had the panels been available when I did mine I would have bought them.

20 gauge is what I used. It took a bit of hammering, welding and grinding though. You can barely see these once the truck is all together, I just want them to drain properly or I would have just used angled joints.
A donor truck would be the best route!
