bed light install issue
in addition to the wiring possibility above (want to avoid that), i've been reading about how sensitive these new trucks are to low voltage/how the bcm will turn things off if there is (what id consider), minimal voltage drop. suggestion was to either pull the negative terminal to reset bcm (but doesnt forscan do that during the write process?), or start the truck to get the voltage up (it has sat for a week or so)

Ok good. No ForScan does not reboot the BdyCm on write, but you can do exactly that in service procedures.
I will take a look at your screenshot and compare see if I see anything obvious.
If not I may need more data to work with.

quick edit
also put battery tender on it, test the "low voltage" theory
forscan pic for those that may encounter this issue
did some troubleshooting with limitless and as i was backprobing to test for voltage at the connector under the truck the lights started working (?). as soon as i removed the probe..lights out. so i removed the white loom cover and hooked the connector back together, lights work perfect. so there is an issue with how the connector is seating. will check it after work and report back.
