LED Headlight Conversion
Has anyone replaced the headlight assemblies on their 2005 Excursion to a new LED assembly? I replaced the incandescent leadlight bulbs with LED bulbs, but I'm not happy wit the result. I* would like to replace the factory headlight assemblies with aftermarket LED assemblies. I see prices ranging from a few hundred dollars to well over a thousand dollars. Can anyone comment on similar headlight assemblies they have installed? I couldn't find much info on this subject using the search function.

As for LED replacement bulbs, those very greatly in quality and performance. Some are just junk and will scatter light everywhere, perhaps even blinding on coming traffic while still not giving you any decent lighting. I've tried a bunch (at least 15 different LED bulb sets), the ones I found to both work and not totally break the bank, and that I now run everywhere, are these from DieselSite (link below). I've passed my wife driving in the opposite direction in one of our vehicle's with these bulbs several times, they don't blind or otherwise distract/ annoy on coming drivers (unlike some of the other cheap Amazon/ eBay bulbs I tried).

Also, headlight bulbs don't care if you have a diesel or not, so don't worry that its a diesel specific website, I even run these bulls in my youngest son's retired police Crown Vic cop car that he drives to high school.
