I just read today that hey're screwing around with the taskbar and file explorer. Why do they keep screwing with these things? I DON'T want them to decide where to put my files or have some strange system to make it 'easier; for me ti find things.
They even said that to make a new folder I had to create a new file and THEN say I wanted a new folder to put it in. Sort of like buying a truck and then building a garage.
Maybe the truth is not as bad as I fear -- or maybe it is.

What's been your experience?
Thanks,

Been using it since it wasn't released yet. Beta tested every version of Windows since Win 3.11fwg. To me Win 11 is what Win 7 should have been. More makeup than anything but there's a lot going on in the background most people don't have a clue about and most all of it is security related so there's that, lol.
Overall, I've found it much more civilized out of the box than any other version and I took the time to make WinME stable! bout a year. gawd that os sucked bad.
There aren't many alternatives to Windows if you want to play games, like Elon Musk demonstrates for us is the thing to do. Or use certain popular applications, for which there also aren't many alternatives.

I'm running Win 11 the same way. I also turn it off but I still keep an eye on it. And I don't tell it anything important
