By popular demand, here is the December 2024 all topic thread. A day early, but better than being a day late.

Not usually on the computer this time of night. (It is only 6:30pm, but normally by this time I am watching a movie, or idiot fails on YouTube on my TV) And didn't want the December thread to start late. So, I started it early.

I was going to stage the Christmas stuff today---but only got as far as helping put away the Thanksgiving stuff.

Lights and tree tomorrow. Fairly easy, looks fairly decent, and allows me to remain staying here.....

Hey I was still drooling over Ribs in November thread
well we’re do I start 🤔, I gained 15 pounds from thanksgiving , lost 2 pounds looking at FTE food channel 👍
installed the grill led light, they make my new halogens head lights look dim , only went with 3400 lumes but wow what a difference, I could have installed the 8” but didn’t want to start cutting up my grill those were 6400 lume , well while I was trying to pull wire through the firewall plug , I Broke a nipple on the brake booster air /4x4 line who knows where the other three line headed to , but I ordered a new $85 plastic/ pvc manifold and installed that this morning in 27 deg heat , of course the heater was on full blast ( inside on the other side of the shop )🥶 , got it all together took the wife to go get her perfect tree

This feels good. Posting in the early December thread.

Jim, you may have started something here.

LED lights make a big difference. I have them on everything. I even retrofitted the old Harley headlight and added a couple of off-road LED lamps to the bike.

Maybe I will go with LED's on mine, but that will be farther down the road. Other priorities keep getting in the way.

Those 20" light bars work really well.

What I did for awhile, before a bolt on installation, was attach magnets to the light bars. Then I wired it with lampcord and a cigarette lighter adapter. I would stick the lightbar on the hood or roof of the truck, then plug it in to turn it on.

That's before prices went down. I was able to use it on any and every car when we went camping. Today, there are plenty of inexpensive lights. Even the cheapest work well.

Funny that you mentioned the toggle. I had an inline toggle wired in. The same type that people use for household lamps. Worked fine. Considering that I was also using lamp cord.

Happy Sunday and for me the second Thanksgiving dinner. We went to my Nieces place for Thanksgiving and didn't bring home any left overs, so we cooked our own Turkey today!
