In the spirit of nothing goes to waste: I managed to harvest around 2 pounds of meat from between the ribs and the top of the ribs.

if it looks like a science project , it Might not be edible, hope it didn’t effect you too bad .
we had a hail storm come through today , I know this because my grandson and I were out on the lake fishing , all of the sudden, without warning ohhail broke loose , I had a rain suit on but my grandson was drenched, finally the bright thing way up in the sky called Sun came out , warmed us for about 15 minutes and it rained, we had a good two hour run fishing , I drowned three night crawlers caught two sticks, 1 pine cone and a bunch of seaweed , I came to a conclusion that most fish this time of year hibernating in the depths of dark mirky waters , are not hungry and you pretty much need to hit them with a 1oz weight right between their eyes to wake them up , I’ll never understand fish

Looking back on it now, I think the main reason for the problem was that both times that I wanted to cook the burgers, the resealable package was open. I closed and sealed the package both times, but it made no difference since it was found open the very next time, I grabbed one.
drove the truck to church yesterday, and then to Winco to buy food. Took it up to 40mph and there was no death wobble. However, when I got in the truck to come home from Winco, it pulled the no start thing again. I tried everything I could think of, and after a few minutes it finally did start while in neutral. Which is interesting, because when I started it for the first time in the morning to go to church it started right up the very first turn of the key while in park. So, I am going to have to buy a neutral safety switch, and I want to get that gear selector switch as well. AutoZone has them both for a combined price of just under $113. That does not include my 10% discount. Now, I just need to figure out which do I do first. Buy two new tires and have them installed in the front or buy the two switches and have them installed. I can only afford to do one at a time. I am leaning toward the switches, as I can always limit the truck's speed to 40 and under for a month. Heck, I only drive it once a week as is. And mainly to keep the battery charged up and the fluids flowing. Until I gain confidence in its reliability, I don't plan on going on any long trips.

Was a cause of death revealed, or is it too early in the investigation?

From what I’ve read elsewhere (fwiw) they were grossly unprepared for conditions and potential things happening. Winter is a harsh sister to Nature and a lot of people don’t know how to date her any more.

Interesting. I remember seeing a documentary decades ago about a person who decided to "go off grid" and moved to Alaska. He was dead within six months because he had no clue how to live in the woods. He had starved to death. I guess it takes all kinds. My brother lived off the land quite often, but he had military training that taught him how to do it. I had military training too, however, mine was as a aircraft mechanic. I may not be the smartest cookie in the jar, but even I would not try to live "off the grid" with no survival training at all.

Living off grid is possible. Most of us lack the skills to do it. I certainly can't do it. I'm too dependent on infrastructure and technology. I can make fire. It is quite possible for me to fabricate shelter, even if I can't find a cave. I believe that I can learn to forage and gather edible vegetation. In the right environment, I could learn to start seed and grow some of my food. I have some fishing and hunting knowledge, but I doubt that I can harvest enough wild game to survive. Somewhere along the way, I'll run out of ammunition. More than likely, I would die from malnutrition, lack of medical care.

Even in the earliest days of the human race, we were pack animals. Humans survived by being with other humans. I don't see the lone survivalist scenario as being ideal.

To heck with this. The 9ers aren't going anywhere this year. I don't even have to watch the rest of tonight's game. I'm going to find Big Foot.

Death by exposure can be used to explain quite a bit, and I didn’t see any mention of the condition of the bodies. Nature doesn’t let nutrients go to waste.

Not watching any of the professional sports here. Just trying to work up the ambition to do some projects that need to be completed.

I have no desire to live off the grid. I have no survival skills at all. Even before my disability when I went camping it was always with a tent and easy food, like hot dogs, hamburgers, or my favorite: a bucket of KFC.
Back in the day when we would meet up with the So Cal FTE chapter at Pismo get togethers I had the Bronco and would sleep in that. Now with my disability, I wouldn't even dream of trying. Where would I plug in my scooter? Maybe win the lotto and buy one of those newfangled Ford F150's that will let me plug the charger into the truck bed. LOL

Cause of death believed to be exposure. They were exposed to Big Foot. Sasquatch is real.

There was a guy named Dick Proenneke who lived alone in the wilderness and filmed the adventure. True story. The guy built pretty much everything and made it into a hour-length film. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0437806/

He has more talent than I. And then there is the loneliness factor. I like living alone in my apartment, but I also like the fellowship of the church family. If I were to move out into the middle of nowhere, I would not have any others to talk to.
