Long story about different account. The bushing is in there I saw it. The TPS has no sideways movement when installed in the throttle body without the screws being tight. Thanks!
I checked the voltages on my TPS yesterday. I think I got a bad after market TPS. When I checked the voltage it was 5.0 volts with the throttle in the closed position and in the wide open position. I'll get a Motor Craft sensor and try that. Thanks for your help.
I don't have an orange wire. My top wire is black with a white stripe, this is the one I get the 5 volts on. My middle wire is solid white and my bottom wire is white with a red stripe. I placed my hot probe in the bottom wire (white with red stripe) and my ground probe in the white wire. My meter was showing 0.03, I advanced the accelerator to full throttle and the meter showed 0.05. I removed the probes and then reinserted them and I could never get another reading. I tried for 30 minutes until I started getting frustrated and I quit for the day. Going to get a motor craftd TPS and see how it goes. I'll get back as soon as I locate one and get it in. Thanks.
They changed wire colors on that circuit at least twice
His 1990 4.9 has this schematic
Back probe them all until you get a variable reading as you move the throttle
Hard to see those wire colors after years and years
These are out of a 1990 Truck EVTM
That's my truck. Thanks for the info!l I have ordered a new MotorCraft Sensor but with backorder it may be a couple of weeks before I get it. Tried to upload photo but new at WIN 11 PRO. It saves photos the way it wants to instead of the way I want them.
