ECT and MAP sensor checks??
Ok, my '90 F150XLT with a 5.8 is giving me more headaches than i can deal with. Starts fine when cold, but will not idle unless you keep foot on throttle. First time you let off throttle it will stall and not start again until it cools down after sitting for a while. I am getting code #63, low voltage to TPS. I replaced TPS and same problem still exists. Ran circuit checks on both the TPS and IAC and their connectors. Voltage and resistance is good on both. Next I want to check the MAP sensor and the ECT but even the Haynes manual doesn't say how much voltage i should be getting through either connector or how much resistance I should be getting from either sensor. Could someone please reply with some helpful information, this is my everyday transportation and i need to get it on the road as soon as possible.
