I own a f450 2011 king ranch and the cruise control has stopped functioning in the past I have changed the pressure switch on the master cylinder, and this cures the issue. The vehicle has only covered 65,000 KM. I am based in Australia. This time no such luck. I have checked the fuses and they all seem OK. I have also shorted out the plug with no such luck. Any ideas I am trying to get a circuit diagram without any luck.
O also have a supply on the plug at the master cylinder pressure swich.
Some times these vehicles can have little electrical glitches that can be corrected by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, then hooking it back up to reset things. Have you tried doing that ?
I have tried as suggested to remove the battery terminal of both batteries for approx 1 hour re attached no improvement.
Summary to date.
As above plus. removed switch and replaced no luck.
Also removed plug cap and inserted shorting link no luck.
Remove plug from brake pedal switch used contact cleaner and re attached no luck.
When shorting link was inserted tested for voltage using test light on both wires.
Checked all fuses for power no problems.
I am looking for a circuit diagram that shows the installation of the cruise shutoff switch in the master cylinder.
You should be able to see the status of the switches with a scan tool such as ForScan. The BPA PID is brake pressure applied, BPP is brake pedal pressed. The cruise switches should be pretty self explanatory.
