My truck sits more than it gets driven these days, but went to town the other day and got an intermittent SES light, no accelerator pedal for a few seconds then it would go off, back to normal. Sat for a week or so and went to take it to town last night and this time it stayed on.

I've done a visual, can't see anything amiss. Harnesses appear to be tight. No visual indicators that set me off.
If I sit there, the SES will go off, I can get 1 Rev, then back on. Rinse & repeat.

I'm planning on doing the oil cooler o-rings this weekend. Oil level is good currently.

Any direction to start or other FORScan pids to run?

 

Depending on the type of accelerator pedal sensor assembly you have, you may have a separate IVS (idle validation switch) and position sensor. If you do have that setup, this addresses the IVS. If you're APP sensor and IVS switch are integrated, I'm not sure if you can clean it or not; I've never tried on that style.

You should be able to see the IVS status and APP percentage in ForScan. That's probably the first code I'd chase down in order to be able to drive it to diagnose the others.

 

I saw some of those videos last night. I'll be diving into that this weekend.

 

Are these codes recuring? Meaning you've cleared them and these are what comes back? If you haven't cleared them yet then that's where I'd start. Some of those codes could be as old as your batteries and not actually an issue.

I pulled the pedal assy. off and cleaned it up. Seems to have been the issue. Reinstalled and only codes I have now are:
P0475
P0541

Fairly certain those are constant and haven't been affecting driveability.

I will probably pick up a backup pedal assy and have it onboard just in case.
