Force on Camera
Hello, I have a 2017 f250 with only the factory reverse camera on the tailgate. I added a aftermarket front camera and 3rd brake light camera. currently they only work as an overide when the factory reverse camera is on through my upfitter switches. i want a way to force the video onto the radio screen whenever i turn it on such as driving down the highway or pulling into a parking spot. I know it is possible because i saw a youtube video of it. I have forscan and am unsure what i may need to do to allow this or if there is some form of wiring i need to do. if anyone has any info or tips i would heavily appreciate(note i do NOT have 360 degree cameras or a camera button on my dash), this is the video of what i want to be able to do.

I had to buy a module from 4dTech to override the CHMSL camera shut off once a certain speed is reached. It was kind of pricey for only having that one function. I removed the module from the 2022 that I traded back in January and it sits in a drawer now. It's been advertised on the local FB Marketplace for months with zero interest.
That truck was also a non 360 unit. It's been discussed and work FORScan workarounds have been attempted by knowledgeable guys like ZooDad but I don't recall a solution ever being found.

and it enabled you to manually switch the camera on while moving??if so how?

The Youtube video above does not allow you to use the camera other than when the truck is in reverse.

AFAIK you cannot enable cameras in motion via Forscan.

As stated it was a non 360 camera truck. But I did order it with the CHMSL camera from the factory. No idea if it would work with an aftermarket CHMSL.
With my current 360 camera truck I can turn cameras on at any speed from the factory.
