I don't do a lot of night driving so this may just be some kind of fancy set up that I have never seen before...... The drivers side light appears to be reaching out MUCH closer that the passengers side. It looks like it is aimed down quite a bit. It also vibrates a bit when I hit bumps while the pass side does not.
I'm taking it back in due to the rear camera not working intermittently. Should I have them look at the headlights too. Still under 36k warranty I'd assume.
is the drivers side aimed down as to not blind on coming traffic? I only notice it on low beam and when I pull up to my garage door u can see the light pattern step down as u look from right to left.
Haven't noticed anything like that on my truck.
Issue will be getting the dealer to seriously address the deal, probably something they would have a hard time getting paid back for from Ford.
The drivers side is not down but it is adjusted horizontally at the factory and there is no way for you to make horizontal changes. As far as vertical setting, they should be at the same level. Check them yourself as mine were way off when I finally got around to checking mine. This is for a 2019 but the main process is still the same.
in addition, the adjustment screws are known to break easily so be careful with them and use a lot of silicone spray to help them move.
Thanks for the write up. How far do I have to dig to get to the adjustment screws? I can't see them but then have not started removing parts.... Lens cover have top come off?
While mine is a 2019, I didn't have to dig as they are right there on top. These are for the LED headlights (see above diagram). I would image the newer trucks should have a similar location.

If they don't turn very well, don't force them as once they break, they are set where they break until you get them replaced. Some folks take it to a dealer and have them do the adjustment that way if they break it, they fix it. The downside to that is a technician can break one and not say anything and you will never know. It took me a few days of spraying and letting it soak and then keep repeating once or twice a day until they free up a bit. I set the screwdriver in the Phillips head and just wiggled it back and forth and finally it worked. Still a bit stiff but nothing like it was prior to soaking it down. Every year now, I spray them just to keep them loose.
It’s good to know how to adjust them, but if they’re vibrating over bumps, you may still want them to take a look. It could be a broken adjustment screw location. If you mess with it, it could be your fault, knowing dealers.
