Unhappy headlights question

It has now been THREE times that I had to take my new 2003 excursion back to Heritage Ford in Wesley Chappel, FL to have the headlights adjusted. The first time they aimed them at the sky, the second way over to the left and the third time way close to the vehicle, some 16 feet ahead of it. Is there a norm, rule, standard or something like that for aiming headlights or will the first drunk tech do?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

If you want it done right, do it yourself.

headlights question

Amen to that! And don't let the neighborhood garage that just got sold a new headlight adjuster from the snapon or mactool guy fool with them either!

Left light shines about 100' slightly down and to the right, the right light shines a little further out and straight.

I usually put them out enough to where I'm comfortable, yet not so that I'm getting the high beams flashed at me all the time.
