Hello I am trying to get spark see attached cured diagram.
ford 351 Prestolite distributor
2 New sets of points clean and tested and gaped correctly
2 new PerTronix Flame Thrower coil 1.5ohm
2 new set of Plugs gapped properly.
2 new batteries fully charged and load tested good.
I am still not getting any spark
I have 12v to the coil + with key in the on position as well as when engaging start. The starter engages motor cranks No spark
I also tryed to upgrade to Hotspak electronic ignition kit still no luck
Where / how are you checking for spark?
Your wiring looks good and you also tested power at coil both key on and cranking = good
When checking for spark pull the coil wire out of the dist. to ground. No spark here you will need to dig deeper.
If you been checking at a plug there is a lot that can go wrong between coil and plug(s)
Test for power at the points. where the coil hooks up and at the tip of the points that should have power when open.
Power at both places = good.
No power you will need to find out why. Bad wire from coil to dist.? Bad set of points and it is grounded?
You got power, dist. cap off lets crank the motor, dose the rotor / shaft turn?
If not turning that is bad and the points are not opening & closing so no spark.
If turning and points open / close you should have spark at the coil.
Get the point to close and you open / close with something and see if you get spark?
If still no spark I am at a loss as grounding the points (closed) and then open you should have spark.
Let us know what you find on the tests above.

Is it at 351W, or 351M?
If either one, what exact year is the engine, and has the camshaft been changed?
If so, is it a flat-tappet, or roller cam?
How old is the current gear?
Fords don't have serial numbers on the engine. Easiest way to tell W and M is that the upper radiator hose/thermostat housing goes into the intake manifold for the W. The M upper hose/thermostat housing goes straight down into the block. A Prestolite distributor sounds like a commercial/ag/marine use.
Ford 351s do have a code stamped in the block as well as a partial vin code This one is stamped C9OE-6015-B 5
So according to ford is a 1969-1970 351W 4v
That is not a VIN code. It is the cast Engineering ID code used for the plants to differentiate parts. C9= 69, O = Torino, E = engine, 6015 = engine block (all Ford blocks have this group number from cars, tractors, trucks). B must differentiate a 4V. One must have a car MPC to check. What I have given is straight from the 64-72 Truck MPC.
