Subs for single cab

I bought a Rockville box for a 12” sub with

Air Space: 1.88 Cubic Feet
Mounting Depth: 5"
Height: 14.5"
Width: 40"
Top Depth: 5"
Bottom Depth: 8”

And it was too big at the top to have to seats go all the way back and when I scooted the seat forward enough to close the sub was touching the back of the seat. Is there any box that I could buy or get made that will fit and let the seat go all the way back or would I need to get 10” subs?

I had two 10" woofers behind the seat of my '89 F350. I had to custom make a box, as everything I could find was like yours, too wide at the top.
