hi all..first post here..i currently have a 86' f150 w/ 5.0...single cab. anyways i am into good quality music in my vehicle, well i am now getting a 92 150 single cab, and the room behind the seat looks smaller then my 86...question for you all is, does anyone with the 90 models single cab have a sub behind their seat??
i had an 8 but it wasnt loud enough for me i now have 2 12s and im going to build a custom box for them till i can find brackets to replace my bench seat with racing seats. i got a 91 and the e8 barely fit so ill let you kno how the box for the 12s comes out
2-10's will fit good behind your seat. Right now I have two in one box. Make a box or boxes like 2006 and have the subs on the lowest portion of the box, so you dont have to scoot the seat up. 12 inchers usually need more backpace, or have more backspace. I have a 12 inch audiobahn that has 5" backspacing, so i would have to have a 7" wide box at least
Solo barracs makes some nice 8's i think. They got lots of range and power with a good amp and a good box. Looks tiny, but packs a good punch.
1 or 2 of those behind the seat and the right box, and a good amp should give you a good roundabout sound.
If you want a backrub, JL makes a really thin sub, i can't rmemeber which one it was that I had picked out for my 91 though.
I'm personally thinking of sticking my subs in my rear speaker holes in my truck.
they might be 6x9's, but hey, fabrication is a good thing right?
Was on the crutchfeild site yesterday & gave me a "here's a similarly equiped vehicle" link to a customers nice red 92 single cab with a single encloseure w/4 subs & a pair of 3 inchers. Looked real nice.
