V10 check engine light

I have a 2019 motorhome with the V10. I am showing a check engine light with 5 codes. P0135 P0141 P0155 P0443 P0446. I am new to doing my own mechanical work. Can anyone help me for where to start?

You have 3 iffy oxygen sensors and an iffy purge valve. Did this happen all at once or over time? I suggest you clear the codes, note how long it takes them to recur then deal with them as they recur.

Tabijan, Thank you for your response! I was thinking it would be unlikely for all three 02 sensors to go bad at the same time, although it is possible. I would guess there is one problem causing all the faults. I will be interested to see what some other people think as well.

The oxygen sensor heater faults might be caused by a low system voltage following a cold start. Not enough juice to feed the oxygen sensor heaters. Thus the suggestion to just clear the codes and see what happens.

The evap faults sound more like a vacuum leak. Start with the hoses on the engine side of the purge valve. Again, clear codes and wait for them to recur.

You are to ohm out the heater circuits if you were to do the pinpoint tests
Yes, I'd start there (you can get the pinpoint test steps free at your local library from AllData)
The pinpoint tests for those particular codes are in the PCED
There are fuses that control those heater circuits
Check your fuses, and run through the pinpoint tests, the PCED has a schematic in the front of each pinpoint test section to help you out

Do these components have a common ground point?

Tabijan, Thank you again for your response! I understand what you're saying now. I erased the codes and let it idle for a few minutes, then shut it down and started again. When I started it, the codes all came back. Seemed like at the same time....... A common ground point is a good idea.

ManicMechanic, Thank you for your response! I am not familiar with the pinpoints test, but I will see what I can find! I already checked the fuses but will look again. I likely missed something. I was in a hurry when I looked at them.

manicmechanic, I can't figure out what a pinpoint test or PCED is. I do not have an Alldata membership, I am just a guy working on his own stuff. Is there a similar resource that the regular Joe can access?

I do not pay the money and subscribe to AllData either
I work on too many different cars to make it worth my while, especially when I have a public, county library a few blocks away
The PCED is a big book, about a three hundred pages, around a hundred bucks used on Ebay, one for each year, you need a 08 book or the library
I believe the grounds are behind the RF kick panel,
The PCED and or the EVTM will tell you for sure, exactly where they are at
The heaters fail and go open circuit
The processor checks this every millisecond it seems, and if it sees an open, you get the light
The pinpoint tests are going to have you checking all those wires and checking a few PIDS for your 08

Hi cfitz949,

Were you able to find the ground point(s)? On my 2009 F250 V10, I have similar codes, P0135, P0155, P0443, but I also have a tempest causing my backup system to go haywire throwing an open P1910 code, as well as my A/C clutch error P0645. I’ve replaced all four O2 sensors, the carbon canister, and the vapor canister purge valve, all to no avail. Mechanic tested out ohms and volts, to the O2 sensors; all good. He thinks it’s the engine control module (ECM) that’s bad.
The ECM part is no longer available 😢. I’m trying to figure out if one is compatible with my ‘09. But that’s another $1k gamble.

Mikeshorts90, mine ended up being that the wire from the 02 sensor wire rubbed on the exhaust and shorted out the fuse. After repairing the 02 sensor wire and replacing the fuse, we were good to go. I hope you get it!
