Trailer Plug Wirimg Harness
Does anyone know where I can source this connector? The PO cobbled the plug into the wiring before the connector and it now is corroded inside the plastic. I have a new male connector but am now in need of this female one. The truck is a 2000 F250.
Once you find the correct P/N search online

The Excursion also uses the same connector ensemble, which Ford designates as Connector C407 in the location that you are trying to repair.
The same 12 cavity (4 larger gauge, 8 smaller gauge) connector is also utilized inside the cab, behind the kick panel at the front passenger side foot well on the right hand side of the vehicle, which Ford designates as Connector C233.
You would be looking for C407F or C233F, to obtain the socket half of the connector, rather than the pin half.
Neither type is shown in the Motorcraft catalog.
Unlike GM, which provides the Packard / Delphi connector housing, pin, socket, TPA, and CPA part numbers in their wiring diagrams... Ford does not identify the supplier or part number to connector shells in the factory service manual or wiring diagrams for the 2000 model year.
I checked one OEM supplier that Ford has used in the past, and struck out finding this particular connector.
However, I didn't give up on your behalf, and like FordCowboy suggested, I did find where you can buy both the male and female halves of this connector, with trailing leads already fitted, so that you don't have to split apart the connector and muck around with crimping wires onto sockets and inserting them. It's all done for you. You need but blunt cut the trailing wires, and butt splice them onto your existing 14405 frame harness.
It comes with a trailer socket and some extra wire as well, but it does have the female frame wiring socket you are looking for.
