Drop the tire pressure on the 250 like you did with the 150. My 250 supercab shortbed gas with plow springs on 35s at 56/40psi unloaded rides awesome and as good as my previous F150s on 34s set at 45psi.
An F150 has a car like suspension, with car like tires. A Superduty has truck like suspension and truck tires. Can't really compare the two other than looks. To gain the ability to carry big weight, it needs stiff springs and high capacity tires. The fix on most SD trucks is to run at lower tire pressures. Air bags will increase the harshness as they are weight lifting devices, not ride comfort. You can add roadmaster springs to the rear and they help reduce the harshness while also adding lift capacity. Stiff shocks will add to harshness, so shocks that are firm but dampen well, like Bilstiens, can help smooth the ride. Have them on my F-450 and they do help some, but nothing can truly eliminate the hard ride from the Commercial tires. I had RAS on my 2012 King Ranch and between that and cheap tires, the ride wasn't too bad, still felt like a truck compared to the F-150, but much more manageable.
The only thing that smooths the ride in my F450 is a ton in the bed. Then it rides very nice.
My cousin has a gas Chevy 2500HD CCSB with 20" wheels.
I have a gas F250 CCSB with 20" wheels.
I definitely notice the GM truck rides rougher going down the road, and he notices the Ford rides nicer.
I don't know what tire pressures he's running, but I am running the full sticker pressure. 60/65
I am sure there are some instances where the IFS handles bumps better than the solid axle, but in all other situations the Ford rides better.
I think anyone should do some test drives before assuming one is better than the other.
I do have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ride in the Ford, and I was coming from a 2013 Chevy 2500HD.
I do typically drive on nicer roads, not a cratered wasteland like Detroit or NYC/NJ, so that could affect my experience.

Oddly enough I hadn't thought to reduce tire pressure on the Goodrich Duellers ( 18 in.).
I will get the tire pressure vs loading chart from BF Goodrich and lower to safe level.
Truck empty on Cat scale comes on at 7040 lbs with full load gasoline.

I dropped the front from 60 yo 55psi andvrear from 65 psi to 55.
Now rides more like my 2018 F150 with LT load E tires.
Called Bridgestone Tire for copy of load to pressure chart for the Duellers. Deer in the headlights!
This truck is void of payload most of the time. When i attach the 8000 lb travel trailer with load Distributing hitch I will reinflate the tires to door sticker levels.
