Anyone have a bed slide installed? Thinking of getting one, leaning towards Cargo Ease. Have an 8’ bed with a mid high cap. Won’t ever haul dirt or stones as I have a dump trailer.
What negative issues, besides losing about 5” of height, have you ran into? Have you mounted any items onto the slide, bike rack, tool box, etc.? Thanks

My previous work truck had one and I loved it! Yeah, you loose a little height to the slide, but sooo much easier to organize and store things in the bed AND be able to get to them, I highly recommend one if you have a topper and as you said, you don't need the bed for dirt/rocks. I had bins for the small stuff to keep it together, very handy, you will be happy you got one!
Have a Cargo Glide 3/4 extension 1000lb unit and use it frequently. Lots of compliments and questions... I call it my "old fart back saver." They make higher capacity and near 100% extension versions - just didn't need it.
I welded up my own. I have put 1800lbs of bags on it. I have recently removed the cap and have a tonneau cover. Thinking of removing it as that 5" now is a lot of room lost.
Ended up buying a used Extendobed. Never heard of them but they are the original bed slide manufacturer. Cater more to fire, police, military. Built like the proverbial brick sh-thouse. Here are a few shots from the seller’s post. Have it dismantled and will be giving it a fresh coat of paint, new bearings even though only 1 seemed rough, new decals, etc.
