Hi all. I have a '24 F250 XLT DCSB 4x4 with the Godzilla 7.3 and 10spd. I've put a 1.5 in lift spacer on the front and 35 inch BFG AT/KO2s (set at 55psi unless towing) on there, but otherwise it's all stock. Love the truck and it pulls my 12k lb 5th wheel very well. Only problem I have is that it is the roughest ride I've ever had in a truck. Very bouncy and some jarring hits now and then with regular driving. Came from a F350 with the same packages plus the diesel and FX4 package so that's all i have to compare it to and that was pretty smooth unloaded. What shock/spring upgrades can I put on there to really soften the ride? Not worried about payload because I have 5k airbags installed to take out any extra squat. Will Tremor take-offs work to soften up the ride some? Trying to stay below $1k total so price is a consideration. Thanks.
You could try better shocks. I would try this first.
A heavier replacement bumper could add more weight to the front. That would give a little on the springs and make up some of the weight lost from the diesel to gas.

The Tremor rear springs are no different than the springs you have in the rear. The shocks might ride slightly different but they don't appear to be a very high quality shock, with a lot of Tremor owners having early shock failures The Tremor coils might give a slightly more compliant ride. What is your front spring rate now?
You would probably have to go aftermarket leaf packs and shocks all around to make much of a difference. I do wonder why such a difference between this 350 and your last. The diesel does weigh more but the 7.3l should have lighter coils to offset that.
What year F350 are you coming from? That can make a big difference. Also, the diesel weighs quite a bit more than the gasser, so there's more of it as well
How does it ride with the trailer?
Is it the front or the back that is riding rough, or both?
What kind of bumps are you hitting that the truck is not handling well?
In general, the '23-'24 models ride really well. I still have the specified 60f/65r pressures, on stock wheels and Bridgestones, and find the ride excellent.
I think the majority of people find these to have a great ride, but I have seen some who complain, who find it worse than older trucks. I would love to find out in which circumstances the ride is a problem, or if maybe there is something wrong with those few trucks.
Plus some people just prefer a much softer ride, like a car or F150. Which mine feels like a marshmallow pretty much, so I put in an order for a F350 Tremor Sport with Granger, 4% under invoice! I expect it is going to ride rougher to get the tow capacity I want. Horses for courses? I prefer a stiffer suspension personally.
Who would of thought a work truck could ride like a truck.
I personally think my '21' F350 with 7.3, snowplow/ camper package 60psi front & 65psi rear rides great. I dare say the best riding truck I've owned so far.

It was a 2019. I knew the ride would be rougher with the gas engine, but the jarring hits are what gets me.

Been driving "work" trucks since 2007, so I'm aware they are rough. This one is just rougher than I'm used to and looking for ways to soften it since it's an XLT.
