V8 / v10 swap possible?
Hello. I have a 06 F250 with the 5.4L 3V which has locked up at almost 220K miles. Not disappointed at all in the use I got out of that engine. So I had heard years ago that I could get the v10 3V and it would bolt up to the transmission, drop in pretty much. Is there any truth to that I as I start to look for an engine? I pull a 18’ landscaping trailer with it and would like a little more power than the 5.4.

Yes it is. It has been successfully done and documented by one of our members in the v10 forum. ECU and harness is an easy swap hard part is finding a good v10 motor. They are now expensive ($3000 with 175K on it) and harder to find/get.
