v10 swap

i have posted a thread about suping up my 5.4 but i think a v10 would be better. how hard would it be to swap a v10 in, could i use the same tranny and wiring? the truck i have now the body and frame are mint so i would like to keep the same truck. if it its to much work i will just keep tinkering with hoping the 5.4

ive been wanting to do this to my 2004 for almost three years now, when i asked back then this is what i was told. The V10 will bolt in the frame and mount to everything, you will need the motor harness for the V10 and the PCM. Also the intake is different other than that a simply radiator hose swap for the V10 parts and your good to go and enjoy the POWER

The trans will bolt up and work, but it might not last long. The 5.4L has less clutch plates than the V10 version. During a rebuild it's easy to upgrade your trans to the V10 specs.

i never understood why Ford does have the nine different versions of the 4R100, f150 has one, SD V8 gets less clutches yet the V10 and the 7.3 got the "beefier" 4R100? GM just bolts up a 4l80 and your good to go......

Are you SURE that all the 4L80s are the same? They don't change clutch plate count? How do you control clutch capacity with a lower output engine? That doesn't make sense to me.
