So for those of you lucky enough to have had to change your spare tire on the side of the road, maybe you can relate...
Picked up some sort of debris and lost my passenger front tire as I was getting ready to get on to the freeway. Luckily I wasn't towing and it went down slow enough for me to find a patch of dirt to pull on to vs having to nurse it down the on-ramp.
During the tire change, I think I somehow let the spare tire "hook" (the bit that is threaded on one end and has the hook on the other that then hooks to the eye bolt on the body) fall out of the truck.
Does the generic Dorman one fit (it looks kind of puny)...
...or does anyone have a line on where to get one that isn't over $100 on eBay?
