AC Compressor won't kick on

So I have been having problems with my Air conditioner on my 2006 F350 6.0L diesel last year when we were traveling it was hot and I had some freon blow off randomly driving down the highway. So I added some freon and it has been ok. It started doing it again recently so I bought a new compressor, dryer, and condenser to replace them. But when I pulled out the filter it wasn't that dirty, no metal, just some burnt carbon deposits.

So I thought I will just replace the dryer, filter, and add new oil and replace all the O-rings. I pulled a vacuum and started add freon with the truck running on Max AC, fan on high. All I see is the pressure rising and the AC compressor never came on, went as high as 100 psi. Checked AC switch on dryer, and it has power on both wires when running. What else do I need to check? Compressor gap is like .032". Hoses, compressor, evaporator, and condenser are only 2 1/2 years old, Motorcraft parts. Thanks for your help!

what does that mean? you have/had a leak? did you fix that leak?

Did you drain any oil? Based on the components you said you replaced, no oil should have been lost. You may have overfilled the system with PAG oil. Compressor is positive displacement...which could be ugly if too much oil is inside

How did you break the vacuum? You're supposed to break vacuum with freon vapor, continue adding freon to slightly raise pressure. THEN start the engine with AC on and charge freon. Sounds like you broke vacuum with liquid freon. Possibly damaged/vapor locked the compressor.

at this point, your best bet is to drain/flush the system. hope that nothing is broken. see what comes out the lines as you flush. take system apart at major components and lowpoints. fill lines with alcohol, flush out with compressed air...do a few times per sections until you get as clean as possible. refill the system with correct amount of PAG oil. spread it out. put a little bit into each component as you re-asembly lines. don't just dump it all in at the compressor. Pull a vacuum and let sit. I drop test overnight to verify no leaks. break the vacuum with vapor. then refill and charge.
