ac compressor gone

Whats common on these ac systems to go? I was checking to see why my ac didn't work and realized the compressor was replaced with a pulley bypass by the previous owner. The hoses are still there. Maybe the compressor froze up, hahaha?

That would be my guess. I had to replace one in my 2001. It was still there but bearings were shot.

Before you put a compressor on it, remove the reciever drier and orfice tube and flush the system with AC flush and compressed air to clean out any dirt or pieces of compressor then put on a new compressor, reciever drier, orfice tube, AC oil and Freon.
You should be good to go.
