The beacon only communicates with your phone, not with State Farm. And it's not an active tracking device. I think you or you're "Friend" are fear mongering.

I would not put their dongle on my Flex. I would get dinged daily because, well, its Ecoboost and its quick, and I have powerstops that STOP the car quickly. I don't have to jam on the brakes, just light pressure to slow it quickly. I CAN lock all 4 if I want to, they are that good. Since I use iDash, I would not put one on my truck either.
