Well, I will be out in it in about an hour, and I am sure it will still read 108.

I played golf today. It was brutal in more ways than one.

I bet. I spent 3 hours at church this evening. It was brutal as well, since I spent it all outdoors watching the parking lot.

One thing about the hot weather is we get visitors at night. King Charles decided to drop by for the tri tip BBQ.

You could put that on a skewer and put it on the grill. It tastes just like chicken.

When I was a kid in school, one of the teachers said that driving amplifies all of our social shortcomings. When you're behind the wheel of a car, you feel empowered and will do things that you wouldn't normally do. It didn't make much sense at the time. I just didn't get it.

It took me several decades to figure out, that the teacher meant that people turn into jerks. Fighting over parking spaces. Road rage. Driving down the middle of the road. Cutting people off. Aggressive finger gestures and offers of sodomy. Speeding. Unsignaled lane changes.

At the very least, you should have to pass a test to qualify you to drive a car. Make people who want a car; pay to take a test and get a special license. And extra taxes on the gasoline. Those things are dangerous. They could kill somebody. They should all have special unique identifiers and be registered. Then make everyone who wants to own a car, carry a bond or have some sort of financial responsibility for the damage that they will cause with that car. And if you are out in public with that car, the police will have the right to detain you and inspect documentation.

Or just reintroduce drivers education in high school and make it a mandatory class that you have to pass.

That wouldn't weed out the mental problems, but it would be a good start to having better drivers.
