Needing info on 429

Hello All, I am needing to purchase parts for my 78 F150 4x4 swb. It has a 429 thunderjet with a NP205 & NP435. Primarily what I am trying to accomplish is to buy the parts I need without having to explain to Skylar(sorry if your name is Skylar) at the parts counter every trip that this truck never came with this motor. This is a DOVE-A block with an assembly date code of OG27A. It would be nice to walk in and say “it’s for a 1970 ford galaxie 500 blah blah blah. Can anyone help me help Skylar? Thank you.

Everything external on the 429 is the same as a 460 so I just tell them I have a '76 F250 with a 460 in it.

Like if you had a 351M ... and me suggesting telling parts people that it's a 400 .... so one don't end up with 351W stuff.

Tell them 1970 Mercury Marquis. They had 429 with 2 barrel and 4 barrel. The distributor for that year would be points though.
Also FYI the 75 Mercury Grand Marquis also had some with Hydroboost brakes.
