Reverse lights shorted
I have a 2001 F350 with a 7.3 and an automatic. I had a couple things not working such as vacuum pump, reverse lights, and the trailer brake controller. I started by checking fuses and found fuse 28 I believe under the dash was blown, which runs all of these items, replaced the fuse and I could hear the vacuum pump running so I put it in reverse to see if the lights worked and instantly blew the fuse. Checked some wiring and connector diagrams and I believe the short is between the cab harness and the fuse box. Wiring from the lights up to the cab looks good and wiring from the switch to the cab also looks good. I checked for continuity to ground and have continuity at connector C1044. Wondering if anyone else has run into a short like this and if so where? I've done some looking and haven't been able to find anything that sounds like my problem.
