Ground cable 223 ci

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me if there is a ground cable between the body and the engine block on a 223 and where is it attached ? I don't think the block takes the ground by the engine supports ?

Probably. It is likely shown somewhere in the shop manual. But you can always add a redundant one. I’m not familiar with the 6 cylinder engine location. You can just run a heavy cable from the firewall to engine block, one from block to the frame, that’s what I did on my previous 59 F250. Any further grounding/bonding issues would be related to poor connections at the individual loads, a common problem

Thanks, it's because my truck is partially dismantled and I didn't see this info on the workshop manual. I'm going to look at the engine block, there should be a thread to screw in a bolt to put in a ground wire.
