the hectic three year refresh-six year major redesign cycle ensures they are perpetually trying to work out bugs before they have to retool and use new parts.
i have a friend that has had 2 rams and they both had issues with water getting into the cabs through the rear window and 3rd brake light. the only reason he keeps getting them is for the cummins
even if the cummins is still a bit less torq who really cares. the cabs dont fill with water. 4x4 always works. dw isnt a thing. and if the new trans is even half decent it will be better than fords 10spd clunskster
Well first off, I care. ;-) .....and I currently own 5 Rams, 4 of which are CTD trucks so I'm far from a fanboy who bleeds blue. I've not had any of the issues you mention on either of my Super Duties (though I have had water ingress issues on two of my Rams) and I love my 10R140's. Sounds like you should go buy a Ram and be happy.

im sure plenty of them leaked water at the 3rd brake light. $10 piece of homedepot weather strip would fix it however. but many people werent smart enough to realize that
s. I like the truck, but I have been running into problems every few months with it lately. I am starting to lose confidence in the truck and in Ford, and I am considering jumping ship
Welcome to 2024! Everything is JUNK. Even Toyota the Global pinnacle for automotive quality is having MAJOR issues with their new engines. What kind of loss are you going to take jumping ship? It's probably not worth it unless you're having major issues or downtime.
Looking for opinions from anyone with recent experience with both GM and Ford heavy duty trucks. I currently have a 2023 F-350 7.3/4.30 with about 9k miles. I like the truck, but I have been running into problems every few months with it lately. I am starting to lose confidence in the truck and in Ford, and I am considering jumping ship. It appears the 2024 GM trucks are starting to report less issues, while 2023-2024 Ford trucks are starting to report more issues. When I look at the fit and finish of GM trucks they appear superior to Ford. When you get jerked around on a new truck that shouldn’t be having problems, it has a way of creating a strong bias against that manufacturer. Is the grass really greener on the other side, or is my judgment clouded? I am considering both gas and diesel with GM.
If it’s that bad why don’t you get Ford to buy it back?
