Did you have to do any reprograming with Forscan? Saw a you tube guy where he said he put the new batteries in his ‘18 and left it overnight and the truck recognized the new batteries…
Well, they did a battery reset on mine when they installed new batteries.
But, it would seem to me that if you only replace one battery at a time, never leaving the truck without battery power, you should be okay without a reset.
You would just have to be careful not to cross the battery cables, not let the hot touch a ground, when you have them off one battery.
Sam's sells the Duracell AGM for $199. I suspect it is exactly the same battery as the Everstart (except for the label) from Walmart; $179; I'm going to buy two from Walmart. I checked on the shipping option; both Sam's and Walmart say shipping not available; at least in my area. If shipped, how would you handle the core charge?
There was no core charge from Walmart on my 2 batteries that were shipped. I dropped the really bad one off at the hazardous waste facility in my town of Flagstaff for free. I kept the best one of the old two for use in my garage when needing a 12v supply for testing stuff.
I bought replacement batteries for my ‘19 at Costco. I didn’t go AGM though, just plain Interstate lead acid and they have been leak and trouble free.
Regarding their warranty policy, didn’t the warranty end 36 months after the first purchase date giving you only 4 months warranty on the replacement installed 32 months in? I don’t believe you’d get another 36 months on the replacement. At last I’ve never encountered a warranty that extends itself that way.
Is this were you're getting S Korea from or do you have an actual link?
I keep seeing that they are made for Walmart through.... "As of May 2019, Clarios is the new name for Johnson Controls." Once again not from a manufacturer site just multiple blog sites.
Maybe it's all internet BS being repeated over and over even here.
It might be dependent on location of purchase and when. So S Korea might be replacing Clarious manufacturer it seems. I still wouldn't worry about S Korea location with a 3 year replacement and 5 prorated warranty from Wally.
The above picture was from Laurel, MT within the past 2 weeks.
This one of 2 was last summer in Rapid City, SD for my 6.7. Which was Clarious manufacturer.
It replaced this 1 of a pair purchased in '21' in Phoenix, AZ.
