I still don't get why they call it pot roast when it's cooked on the stove top or a crock pot. It's not really roasted in the oven. Why don't they just call it beef soup? Beef, vegetables, cover and simmer. That's soup.
The miracle of technology is that we can shop from our living rooms. You can just about "Google" your way to the best price. You don't have to drive all over and spend hours looking at things and comparing prices. Then they ship it to you for free. I am always buying small parts because they get lost. I set it down, and then it disappears.. Or someone borrows it and they lose it. I'm shocked at how expensive tools have gotten. It used to be that stuff like this was only a few dollars. Not expensive enough that you have to choose between buying the tool or eating.
Got a ride to church yesterday from a fellow friend, we usually work the security detail together. Out church always has a car show on Father's Day, and I did not want to miss it. They found me a comfortable chair with casters on it, so I could sit out by the cars in the shade and keep an eye on them. A lowrider car club joined us this year. And they sat out by the cars in folding chairs. They had everything from a totally stock 1955 Chevy Impala SS to a outstanding mural painted 1964 Chevy Impala with air bags, gold Dayton looking wheels and a lot of gold-plated trim.
Taken as he was backing into the spot.
I didn't get a pic of the 65. They also had a '54 show up as well as that 62 wagon in the background.

It's always the pieces that you need and use that go missing. And to buy the missing pieces individually, it would be cheaper to buy a new set.
Sockets and wrenches also. I'm always missing a 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 10mm, 15mm, etc.
What I hate about sets is the overlapping sockets. You get the same sizes in 1/4" drive, and 3/8" drive, when you buy a set. It's not like they can sell 1/4" up to 8mm, then 3/8" from 9mm to 16mm, and anything 17mm up goes to 1/2" drive.
I have duplicates and triplicates of all the sizes that I never use. Everything in my world is covered by 1/3 of all the pieces in a kit, and those are the pieces that go missing.
I keep telling myself that I should have one. Only I haven't really needed one. So far, I have been able to do stuff with 3/8" drive and 1/2" drive torque wrenches in foot lbs. Anything requiring less than 10 foot pounds, I just snug down and it's calibrated to my hand. No failure yet. Of course I am only gambling with hand tightening things like spark plugs and oil drain plugs. Nothing that is really life or death.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Going to see if I can bring the truck home today after Bible study. This way I can have some form of transportation. I have owned the truck for a year now. Every now and then I get a message from One Drive memories, and I got it yesterday and clicked on it, to see what photos I took on Juneteenth last year. The pics of the truck that I took when I first bought it showed up. So, it has been a full year and still no smog certificate. I am praying that it will be capable after I get it today.

Good news. Got my truck back. Drove it to the bank and back and no CEL.
Great news. Parts for the scooter have arrived. He will try and come out Monday to fix it, but there are 14 other people ahead of me. One of his techs has been missing. So, with any luck I will be up and running next Monday, Tuesday at the latest.
