Some thief tried to steal my truck but was unsuccessful after finding out that they couldn't remove the club. But they didn't stop there, they tried to jam something in the ignition and broke it. I cannot put my key in all the way to turn it. What all do I need to replace or repair?
Yep looks kinda beat. Hopefully the ignition lock cylinder is all you need to replace.
I first wrote you're lucky they are not expensive. Then I looked it up; $70 at Vatozone. Not cheap any more!
If you have the key fob to unlock the doors you can get around rekeying the doors. Or if you are comfortable manipulating teensy tiny parts and solving puzzles, you could prolly re-key the new lock cylinder to work with your existing key. Just need one or two of the pins to work, not all of them.
This thread has some good directions for removing it.
