Good Morning Everyone
I am looking to install a Brake Controller in my 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty. After looking around it seems that the Tekonsha P3 controller comes up "smelling of roses". I am going to tow a 24foot enclosed car trailer.. Has anyone on here fitted this make and model brake controller to their same vintage F250 and what is needed to be done and which wiring harneses need to be purchased. The truck has a Ford Tow hitch and the seven pin femaile plug to connect to the trailer. I have found what I believe to be the trailer plug under the plate in the centre of the dash. I am concerned whether this make and model brake controller needs to be programmed to the truck and any other advice would be appreciated? Also I would like to find and buy a pair of Ford extendable rear view mirrors. My local Ford dealer says they are obsolete and not available? Thank you John
You should just need the short wiring harness that works with your year F250 to plug between the Tekonsha and your under dash wiring harness. It is plug and play. The P3 will work with 1-4 axle trailers. Tekonsha makes good products.
