Question Trailer Brake Controller Install

Getting the '93 F-250 ready to haul the family trailer around this summer. I am impressed with the Prodigy Brake Controller and then got curious about the installation. The truck has the factory towing package with the original Ford 7-pin Connector at the rear bumper. But the truck has never had a Brake Controller installed. I would imagine the truck is prewired, but I can't see any special pig-tail under the dash. Where would I look for it?
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

The factory harness is under the ashtray about the middle of the dash. You can buy the factory plug from the dealer that plugs right in there or like me just cut the plug off and hard wire it.

A good idea that I saw was to use a regular trailer connector on each end and splice it into the stock wiring. That way you can use the controller on more than one vehicle. Just an idea. Worked pretty good between three trucks and one controller.

Thanks for the help! I found the plug and it looks pretty straight forward. I don't see myself having more than one tow vehicle, but Tekonsha offers an extra pocket mount for the Prodigy so only the unit itself can be transferred between vehicles easily. The Prodigy is a bit pricey, but looks pretty idiot proof. I need that. ;-)

Thanks again
