Any tips removing truck bed by myself on a 93?

I'm trying to remove the truck bed on our 93 Ranger to change the fuel pump. I got the bed unbolted and cleaned out. One of the bolts nearest the fuel tank snapped but the bed is loose and can be removed. I tried to move it enough to access the fuel pump but I can't move enough by myself. Everyone that can help that I know lives too far away to come. Is there any tips on getting it slid back enough? It's stuck in a carport, so I don't have an engine hoist or tree near by to try and make a crane. Does it help to remove the rear bumper?

Only thing I can think of is a floor jack and some long pvc pipes. Jack up the bed far enough to slide the pipes in between the bed and the frame then just roll it off the back. I would set up a plywood table to roll it onto so that you can continue shuffling the pipes around until the bed is completely off the truck, and on the plywood table. Sucks that it’s stuck in a car port but that Ranger shouldn’t be too heavy to push around. This is just an idea I have not tried it in practice. Last bed I removed I was lucky enough to have a man on each corner

I would measure out the location of the fuel pump access ring on the tank and then take a grinder to the bed and cut 3 sides of a square right above the access ring peel it back and take out the pump that way. Then seal it with liquid steel.

Jack the rear of the truck up. place some jack stands under the 4 corners of the bed. use some concrete blocks to get high enough and let the truck back down. Or you can do one side at a time.

Did the bolt break and leave a stud up into the bed hole? Or did it break flush with the frame? If flush, taking the bumper off will allow the bed to slide back on the frame. If theres a stud left, a floor jack can be used to get the bed up off of whats left of the bolt, then cut it flush with the frame and then set the bed back down and slide it back. Dont forget about the filler tube and light harness.

Unless its your absolute last option, DO NOT cut an access hole in your bed floor. Geesh, try tossing 20 bucks at the amazon/fedex/ups delivery person to see if theyll help you out. It should only take but a minute to lift the bed off with one person on each side.

If you haven't already done so, remove the tailgate too, as it'll reduce lifting weight. Let us know how it goes
