California wants a smog check every 2 years. Less complicated now that they can use the OBD II port. Not like the old days where they put the truck on a dynamometer and inserted a "sniffer" into the tailpipe.
About a decade ago, I won't mention any names, but somebody lost my knife. The little knife that I used for fishing and processing organically harvested, free range protein.
No, it wasn't tossed overboard to get rid of evidence. It fell in the water. And neither I, nor anyone else on that boat, was willing to dive into The Ocean in search. So I ordered another cheap version of it. Everything was cheaper back then. But this was "cheap". Price wise, and build quality. Something I wouldn't miss if it fell off the boat.
Cold Steel. A company better known for swords sold at Swap Meets, that you hang on the wall.
I would have never guessed that the disposable knife, which is meant for getting damaged or lost at camp, is still with me, and used regularly in my kitchen. It just works.
In today's world, it has more than tripled in price. It's good. But not worth it. I would not buy it again at today's price point. You can buy something much nicer for less money.
Happy Humpeth Day Nor-Cal! If I cooked, I would probably have a boning knife. But I microwave, so none is needed.

You could cook Chinese food. The easiest thing to cook is Chinese stir fry. Everything cooks in 1 pan, and in a few minutes. Every dish starts with onion, garlic, and ginger. Then you add the meat. Every meat works in Chinese food. Shrimp, beef, pork, chicken, goat, snake, rabbit..... Give it a stir. Then add whatever vegetables you like. The lazy, like me, would use frozen and canned vegetables. Give it a final stir with one of those sauces in a bottle. Most times, I just use soy sauce. Even Wal*Mart sells bottles of different Asian sauces that you flavor the dish with.
I figure that each meal is at least $15 in a restaurant, and I can make it for less than $5 in groceries. That saves me at least $10 per meal. Assuming that I eat at least twice a day, the numbers add up. I will ask a cousin in Dubai to be my straw buyer, and scoop up a GTD in The Middle East.
Today, it was leftover ground beef from my cheeseburger lunch, and eggplant.
An 800+ hp Mustang for only $325k. Wow, I should fly to Europe and put in an application right now before I forget! Wait, what the heck would I do with a Mustang with over 800hp? I briefly owned a Dodge Charger with only 370hp that scared the heck out of me. That Mustang would probably give me a heart attack.
I don't cook because I choose not to. I am lazy and I hate cleaning up the mess afterwards. Which is why I have the caregiver do it. She is paid to cook meals. Might as well take advantage of that.
Well good and bad today. I got the Bronco back from the mechanic ant the AC is pushing 38* F at idle. The fan clutch will need to be replaced in the near future though.
Jr got the headlights in the 6.0 changed out and what a difference in visibility!
The bad news is now I have to buy several sets of custom insoles to combat plantar fasciitis. 🤢🤬. It’s that or $500 shoes, I’ll get the insoles.
Making progress on the vehicles is good, having to buy a bunch of insoles not so much. My truck is back in the shop (I think it lives there now, and just comes over to visit from time to time.) It is waiting on another O2 sensor, a coil pack, and to have the MAF sensor cleaned. I bought some super elixir from Gumout guaranteed to add 4-10hp, clean the MAF sensor and improve drivability. Yeah right. Another $12 thrown at the truck.
I have plantar fasciitis also, I picked up 3 sets of Dr. Scholl’s Plantar Fasciitis Pain Relief Orthotic Insoles at Walmart. They work pretty well, along with exercising with a tennis ball, it's been slow, but I am getting better.
