When my 1967 F-100 SWB gets to the point of needing a radio and speakers. I've got a set of Bomber seats out of some kind of airplane. There are no markings on them. And a Ford factory plastic center console out of a 1996 F-150 Extended cab. My plan is put the speakers under the seats in some kind of box and put the radio inside of the console. I'm keeping the gas tank behind the seat. Cuz the only reason that I can see for moving it out back is to get rid of the smell.
I just ordered a set of the new F100 panels from tpd hifi for my bumpside. The have Morel speakers built in and I'm a huge fan of Morel. I have thier home speakers and I worked in car audio in the 80s and had there shallow 8" midranges in my car at the time. No one had anything like it in 1988. The kick panels use the carbon fiber nanos so there is no cutting required.

im using the Nano Carbon 2-ways in the front and I’ll put some 6” in the rear corners of the cab (not sure what speaker yet but just something for rear fill). Then a 6-channel DSP amp. Haven’t settled on brand yet, Either Audiocontrol or Musway is what I’m thinking about now.
Thought I’d share my progress. Amplifier is under the driver’s seat. I can’t bear to put a center console in a truck like this. I just love the open space too much and the ability to fit three adults in there.
I didn’t know these existed until you posted it. I promptly ordered them and installed. Small self tapping screws means I can install 6 1/2” speakers without butchering anything.
