Speaker upgrade
I know what you sound purists will say about this question but this is a budget issue. Have any of you upgraded your speakers (same size and location) but not the factory head unit? Will this improve sound a little, a lot?

I had my '99 SD done with Pioneer TS-A5713 5x8 2-way speakers. Cleaned up the overall sound and allowed for more volume while keeping it clear.
For the price at Wally world it's a DIY job.

Be careful about getting ones from B B. I got some to replace the dash speakers in the Aero, the label on the magnet didn't match the power on the box. Had a heck of a time getting them to take them back, since they were opened.

i put alpine speakers in my front doors...low end bass is better but the factory head doesn't have the nuts to drive them after your half way on the volume button.
